Meet BOS Member Yossi Shirazi | PhD Candidate at University of Delaware
Where do you consider your hometown?
I was raised outside of Washington DC, but I have moved up and down the east coast. I feel like my hometown is Savannah, Georgia but I’ve never lived there. Is that allowed?
What do you like about Ypsi?
Everything. It’s vibrant, diverse, genuine, kind, and has a gritty feel.
What passion are you pursuing at The BOS?
My passion is earning that paycheck to help support the family: girlfriend, two dogs, and a stable of bicycles. My work is rewarding and most importantly, I can let my contrarian flag fly. I’m also passionate about the roasted club chicken sandwich at Beezy’s and the fried chicken at Ma Lou’s.
What's a fun BOS story?
I think I’m responsible for 99.9% of the total elevator use at BOS. It’s basically my elevator. A golden plaque commemorating as much would be nice.
Have you ever been told you look like someone famous, who was it?
All the time. People confuse me for the egg eating dinosaur from Mario. Although that might be because our names are similar. (My name is pronounced YO-see).
